Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease your donut pan with cooking spray or vegetable oil.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Whisk until evenly mixed.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: egg, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and gently fold together until just combined.
Transfer the batter to a piping bag and fill each donut cavity about two-thirds full.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the tops spring back when touched.
Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar or dip in melted chocolate if desired.
