1/2cupCaramel sauceFor drizzling and mixing into the filling.
1teaspoonGround cinnamonFor flavor enhancement.
Powdered sugarFor garnishingTo dust over the finished crescent ring.
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it.
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar. Blend until smooth and creamy.
Add the diced apples, ground cinnamon, and half of the caramel sauce to the cream cheese mixture. Fold until well combined.
Open the package of crescent dough and unroll it. Separate the dough into individual triangles.
Arrange the crescent dough triangles in a circular pattern on the prepared baking sheet, overlapping the wide ends to form a ring.
Scoop the apple and cream cheese filling onto the center of the crescent dough ring and spread it evenly.
Fold the points of the crescent triangles over the filling, tucking them under the ring.
Brush the top of the crescent dough with melted butter (optional).
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and cool for about 10 minutes. Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce over the top.
Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat slices in the oven for a few minutes to restore their flaky texture.
