Instructions
Press the tofu to remove excess moisture for about 15-20 minutes.
Cut the pressed tofu into cubes or slabs.
In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Whisk until blended.
Marinate the tofu pieces in the mixture for at least 15 minutes.
Coat the marinated tofu in cornstarch.
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Fry the tofu pieces for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
Remove the tofu and place it on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
Serve hot, garnished with green onions or sesame seeds.
