Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, granulated sugar, and instant yeast. Allow to sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  • Add melted butter, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until well combined.
  • Gradually add flour to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • Prepare the filling by mixing cranberries and orange zest in a bowl.
  • After the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick. Sprinkle the cranberry mixture over the dough.
  • Roll the dough into a tight log and cut into 12 equal pieces.
  • Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  • Prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, orange juice, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Once the rolls are baked, let cool for 10 minutes and drizzle with the orange glaze.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature.
