Chicken

Sauce

  • 1 cup Cranberry sauce Homemade or store-bought.
  • 0.5 cup Orange juice Freshly squeezed from 2 large oranges.
  • 2 tablespoons Honey For sweetness.
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced Adds savory depth.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For sautéing the chicken.

Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon Salt To taste.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper To taste.

Garnish

  • 1 handful Fresh herbs (parsley or thyme) For garnish.

Instructions
 

  • Gather all ingredients for a smooth cooking process.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine cranberry sauce, orange juice, honey, and minced garlic. Stir until blended.
  • Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  • Season both sides of the chicken with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Place chicken breasts in the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes on one side until golden brown.
  • Flip chicken and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low and pour the glaze over the chicken. Stir to coat.
  • Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Check internal temperature of chicken; it should read 165°F (75°C).
  • Remove chicken from skillet and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Simmer remaining glaze for 2-3 minutes to thicken.
  • Pour thickened glaze over sliced chicken before serving and garnish with fresh herbs.

Notes

For variations, consider adding red pepper flakes for spice or using different citrus juices.
