Instructions
Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil.
Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
While the pasta cooks, crack the eggs into a mixing bowl and whisk them together. Incorporate the grated Parmesan cheese.
Prepare a large skillet over medium heat and add any aromatic ingredients if desired.
Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve about 1 cup of the pasta cooking water, then drain the pasta.
Add the hot spaghetti to the skillet and toss with any aromatic ingredients.
Remove the skillet from heat and pour the egg and cheese mixture over the hot pasta, tossing continuously.
Season generously with freshly cracked black pepper and adjust seasoning as needed.
Serve immediately, garnished with additional grated Parmesan and black pepper.
