- 3 cups Chocolate Chex™ cereal
- 3 cups Corn Chex™ cereal
- 1/2 cup mint chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup peppermint flavored dark chocolate pieces
Instructions
- In a large microwavable bowl, measure Chocolate Chex and Corn Chex cereal. Set aside for later.
- In a medium microwavable bowl, add the mint chocolate chips. Microwave uncovered on Medium (50%) for about one minute.
- Stir the chips gently to ensure they melt evenly. If not fully melted, microwave for an additional 15 seconds at a time until smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the cereal. Use a spatula to coat the cereal evenly.
- Microwave uncovered on High for three minutes, stirring every minute to prevent burning.
- Spread the mixture onto waxed paper to cool and set.
- Allow the mix to cool for about five minutes before stirring in the peppermint flavored dark chocolate pieces.
- Store the Chocolate Chex Mix tightly covered in an airtight container.
