Instructions
1. Cook the orzo in a large pot of boiling salted water for 8-10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
3. Add the chopped onion to the skillet and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add minced garlic and sauté for another minute.
4. Drain the orzo and add it to the skillet with the beef mixture. Stir to combine.
5. Pour in the beef broth and milk, stirring well to combine.
6. Gradually add the cheddar cheese, stirring continuously until melted.
7. Season with salt, pepper, and optional seasonings. Stir to incorporate.
8. Allow to simmer on low heat for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
9. Adjust seasoning if needed and garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of milk.
