Add the trimmed asparagus to the bowl and toss until evenly coated.
Transfer the asparagus to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer.
Roast the asparagus for about 15-20 minutes until tender yet slightly crisp.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle shredded cheese over the asparagus. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes until melted.
Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top before serving.
