Ingredients

Dough Ingredients

  • 4 cups All-Purpose Flour Sifted to avoid lumps.
  • 2 teaspoons Active Dry Yeast Ensure it is fresh for best results.
  • 1.5 cups Warm Water Around 110°F to activate yeast.
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar To feed the yeast.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Enhances flavor and gluten structure.
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter Melted for enriching the dough.

Filling Ingredients

  • 4-6 cloves Garlic Freshly minced for flavor.
  • 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese For gooey, cheesy stretch.
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped Fresh Parsley Optional for garnish.

Instructions

  • Combine warm water and sugar in a mixing bowl, then sprinkle the active dry yeast over the top. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  • In a separate bowl, mix all-purpose flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and melted butter, stirring until a sticky dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Shape into a ball and place in a greased bowl, covering with a towel. Let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • While the dough rises, melt butter in a saucepan, add minced garlic, and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Set aside.
  • Once risen, punch down the dough and divide it into 1-2 inch pieces. Flatten each piece, brush with garlic butter, and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Fold and pinch closed.
  • Layer the filled dough balls in a greased bundt pan. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbling. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For variations, consider adding herbs to the dough, using different cheeses, or serving with marinara for dipping.
