  • 12 rolls Hawaiian rolls These sweet rolls provide a unique flavor and texture.
  • 1 pound ground beef Use an 80/20 mix for flavor and moisture.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Adds depth and umami flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adds a subtle aromatic flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Provides an additional layer of flavor.
  • to taste salt and pepper Essential for seasoning the beef.
  • 6 slices cheese Cheddar is classic, but use your favorite.
  • 2 tablespoons butter For brushing on top of the rolls.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  • Divide the beef mixture into 12 equal portions and shape them into small patties.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until browned.
  • Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom half in a greased baking dish.
  • Place the cooked patties on the bottom half of the rolls and add any additional toppings.
  • Melt some butter and brush it over the top of the rolls.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for about 10-15 minutes. Remove the foil for the last 5 minutes.
  • Let cool for a few minutes, slice apart, and serve warm.
