Butter Sauce

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with a small amount of butter or cooking spray.
  • In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
  • Drizzle the lemon butter sauce over the chicken breasts.
  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15-20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  • If desired, turn on the broiler for the last 2-3 minutes for a golden finish.
  • Let the chicken rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
