1teaspoonsesame seedsOptional, for garnish.
1bunchchopped green onionsOptional, for garnish.
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, ground ginger, and black pepper. Whisk together until well incorporated.
Place the chicken thighs in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
Remove the chicken from the refrigerator and allow it to come to room temperature for about 10 to 15 minutes.
Transfer the marinated chicken thighs to a baking dish, skin-side up, and pour any remaining marinade over the top.
Bake the chicken for 35 to 45 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
For extra crispy skin, broil the chicken for an additional 2 to 3 minutes at the end of the baking time.
Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired, then serve warm.
