Equipment

  • Chef's Knife

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Sushi rice cooked
  • 1 sheet Nori
  • 2 sticks Imitation crab meat
  • 1/4 small Cucumber sliced into match sticks
  • 1/4 small Avocado sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Spicy mayo
  • 1 ounce Sushi grade salmon

Instructions

  • Fluff the cooked sushi rice and let it cool slightly.
  • Place a sheet of nori on a bamboo sushi mat, shiny side down.
  • Take a handful of the fluffed sushi rice and gently spread it over the nori, leaving about half an inch at the top.
  • Add the imitation crab meat, sliced cucumber, and avocado in the center of the rice.
  • Drizzle your spicy mayo on top of the fillings for an added burst of flavor.
  • Using the bamboo mat, carefully lift the edge closest to you and start rolling it away from you.
  • As you roll, ensure the sushi stays tight. Once you reach the edge of the nori, wet it with a little water to help it stick.
  • Once rolled, use a sharp knife to slice the roll into bite-sized pieces.
  • Your Alaska Roll is now ready to serve!

Notes

  • Storage: Sushi is best enjoyed fresh. If you have leftovers, you can store it in the refrigerator for up to 12 hours.
