- 1 cup Unsalted Butter
- 1 cup Packed Light Brown Sugar
- ½ cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 large Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon Sea Salt
- 1 ½ cups Apple
- 1 cup Caramel Bits
- Coarse Sea Salt (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets.
- Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla extract.
- Whisk dry ingredients, gradually add to wet ingredients.
- Fold in diced apple and caramel bits.
- Drop cookie dough onto baking sheets, sprinkle with coarse sea salt (optional).
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Cool on baking sheets, then transfer to wire rack. Enjoy!
Notes
Add nutmeg or cloves for extra spice. Drizzle with melted caramel. Add chopped nuts. Use different apple varieties. Brown butter for a richer flavor. Serve on a cookie plate, as a warm sundae, with milk, or as gifts.
